Hello hipbone! As an ultralighter, what is your hammock of choice? I've been working on getting my pack weight down recently. I am just above 13 lbs now.
my girlfriend and I travel together so we share some of the weight. we're both at less than 10 lbs base weight. 1.1 oz 9 ft diy whipped hammock with standard 8x10 flat tarp. we hang side by side from 1 marlin spike so we share a lot of suspension too. we're just starting to hang but we've done lots of research. just ordered a burrow 40 so that'll cut my weight a few more ounces too :-)
