Tablecloths are nylon from this website. They are inexpensive and already hemmed. Saves time and money. You just simply have to either whip the ends or sew some end channels.

Firesong keeps insisting these tablecloths are nylon but I disagree; they are 2.6oz Polyester Crinkle Taffeta which is 100% polyester. Papa Smurf agrees with me in this thread.

I have two of these already and they are definitely polyester. They don't stretch at all, which I like.

I contacted the company and they also said the tablecloths are polyester crinkle taffeta.

The static went away for me fairly quickly, I think after the first night.

Most people make hammocks out of nylon, 1.1 oz. to 1.9 oz. These tablecloths are 2.6 oz polyester crinkle taffeta, so they're pretty strong. Ratdog, who is a large man at 360 lbs., uses a single layer tablecloth hammock and it holds him fine.

I like the low stretch of polyester, and the fabric is very rugged. My sons tend to destroy gear and I wouldn't trust them in one of my 1.1 oz hammocks. They've yet to destroy the tablecloth hammocks.

The ones I just got in the mail are polyester for sure and have 0% stretch. I'm 280 and bounced in it to set the amsteel knots firm on the ends. These things are stout!

I'll admit to being wrong. At one point they listed (I thought) that they were nylon. Went back to see if I could find what my aging mind saw but failed. My bad

I broke one today. It might have been a dog claw from earlier that weakened it but it was a slow motion rip from somewhere in the middle under my butt and dumping me gently on the floor. Very polite for a failure. I am less weight than Mab, but a lady doesn't tell exactly what. Now feeling a little cautious and wondering what to replace it with.
