I grew up on Long Island and use to live in Jacksonville, there's a reason I now live in Sanford, Not much of a coastal person. Honestly though I wish I could commit to helping you out. Between work and my daughter I have little time though she is getting to be that age, 3 and 1/2, we could probably put her to work.

non load bearing load test regardless?

Not an important issue but just curious has anyone load tested one of these (from HF store) with known weights? I realize these are "Not load bearing." Considering using to suspend UQ (10#) or possibly light tarp(100# max?). Mostly I've used similar and weaker ones for even lighter duty purposes. Wire latch is much better than most. Ordered 20 regardless.

Just added another 20 to my order.

Hey Gunner, thanks for doing this. Let us know if you want any money up front, I'm sure you weren't expecting this to snowball like it did. Be glad to pay you now.

I added a few more to my order as well. I can pay in advance also to help cover the order. Just let me know when you are ready. Thanks again for doing this.

I use these ( the ones from AHE) for a number of things.. the first being my bear bag, and I've got a large group bag for when it's 10+ of us out hiking.. the Carabiner has held 40+ lbs of consumables easily. I also used one on each end of my tarp RL prior to investing in dutchware. And I also use one on the magnetic release for my net when fishing.. and I can tell you from experience, the connection point on the vest gave out before the carabiner did. These may not be load bearing.. but they beat the crap out of the ones you get for $1 in big box stores.

Amazing what this has turned into. Gunner, I really would be glad to prepay. Let us know.
