WBBB and the Handy Hammock Stand

My wife and kids just handed me my first hammock, a WBBB and Tarp (early fathers day since I have a canoe trip with the scouts this weekend). I camp out with my son's scout troop quite a bit and one of the scouts got me interested in hammock camping as opposed to tent camping. Several times a year we camp in an open field at some camporees with many other troops. I found a hammock stand called the Handy Hammock and wondered if anyone had used it with a WBBB and if it would support a tarp? It's pricey, but if it worked I'd be tempted to get one.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

I don't know about the use of any stands, but have a look around on the forum for the turtledog stand. This is a pretty simple and relativly inexpansive stand that is widely used around here. It's on my diy todo list, hopefully for the comming weekend.

Thanks Ratdog! I think that gives me enough confidence to order one.

I've also got one and have used a few different hammocks with the HH stand. Also did the modifications from Derek Hanson (the ultimate hang) and def helps a great deal setting up a lot faster. http://theultimatehang.com/2012/12/h...ecommendations

    Good luck

I used my 10ft danger bird on the stand. The spacing of the bottom was 75"
    I'd rather be hanging.

I'm using my handy hammock with WBBB plus Tarp.

Have a look to this https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...=1#post1285792

The distance between the buttom of the struts is about 286 cm (9 ft 4 19/32 inch) - sorry for this UOM
