Depends on the trees where you intend to camp. In the PNW we have ...

    Also Shug:
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to answer the questions of idiots like me. You have answered like three of my questions in the past two days when I had never believed I would be graced with the presence of the legendary Shug. I like to see people trying to help others, especially when it's with anything outdoors. It's what I like about the outdoor community

This post might be dead, but I still try to get answer...
I would like to make whoopie slings myself. Never did it before actually.
Will buy some dyneema and here comes my dilemma.
I live in Sweden so i need some local source or amazon. (Any recommendation is appreciated)
    I found these:

This one is swedish, but the parameters can be seen

    https://www.amazon.de/dp/B079TM3S2K/...RCGSQ3H8Y&th=1

Would it be a ok choice or I should forget it?
    Regards
    Gábor

Both of these look like the amsteel that we use in the state. It appears to be slightly larger in diameter. Our stateside amsteel is 7/64" or 2.7mm in diameter. The link you provided is for 3mm amsteel or 1/8". Your amsteel will be larger, stronger, and heavier. Not by much but it will add up. Hope this helps! Happy hanging!

If it is 1/8th instead of 7/64th it will probably be 12 strand instead of 8 strand. It's a little easier to work with because it's bigger. But then, it's bigger. so be sure to measure if it is going to be a tight fit somewhere. Your calculations for the amount of shrinkage per inch of bury might need to change - maybe if the usual allowance is 1 inch per 5 inches of bury you might use 1.25 inches per 5 inches of bury. Do use those exact numbers - your mileage may vary. I'm just guessing, because diameters are a bit larger, that there will also be a bit more shrinkage with the bury.

It is sure the lack of splicing knowledge, but the second half of the last comment was almost greek for me. (Never ever worked with ropes like these before. This is my first project, hopefully not the last..)
To make it simple. My rope is a 12 strand 3mm (~ 1/8) dyneema. For the adjustable loop's bury I should use 3mm×21 × 3,5 (according to posts in other treads) but how should shrinkage alter this calculation? (what is shrinkage in this case) And on the other side how long should be the buried end of the fixed loop?
