    Blackbird to Ridgerunner ratio

My unscientific observations make me think that these 2 hammocks are the most popular gathered end/ bridge hammocks or at least two of the more popular anyway. Any ideas what percentage of each? WAGs are fine.

The WBBB has been on the market many years longer then the WBRR and for that reason alone will have vastly higher percentage of usage.

Lots of people use the BlackBird, including myself. However, I'm starting to see many forum members trying the RidgeRunner, and they love it. I like the cosyness of my Blackbird, though.

I own both, but I prefer the ridgerunner. A bridge hammock just gives me the perfect lay every time and I never have to fiddle with it. I never have to get up in the middle of the night because my underquilt slipped off my shoulder and I cant reach it to pull it back up.

Its flat, Its comfy, it perfect.

I have both. I like both but if my house were on fire and I could only grab one, I would grab the ridgerunner.

Depends on the person. I'm 6'-5", so it was a little difficult to lay fetal in my RidgeRunner. That being said, I still really liked it. I went back to a Blackbird, though, because it was just overall a better hammock for me. Especially when the XLC came out, that hammock had everything I wanted. Being cradled by a gathered end hammock is just so nice, too.

I can side sleep in my RR, but it is not as versatile in terms of sleep positions. It is indescribably easier to use, especially in terms of insulation, than a BB I think.
