Sunday June 15, hmm.. I'll sleep in, if I camp in shade. If it's low tide, maybe I'll scour the beach for razor clams (digging by hand, catch and release, though it's probably not legal to molest the bivalves.) Read a book, etc. My gear is plain Jane diy in development, so you won't see much except a lazy retired fartvergnugen. I hope to see some ideas and take some pictures for my own DIY projects. I also want to get out and see people.

I noticed you're going to the Enchantments. You lucky hanger! I went last August with daughter #2. We stayed at Leprechaun Lake x2 and Snow Lake x1. We loved it and wished we'd stayed longer. We didn't get a permit this year in the lottery. It's not enough to work hard and behave--luck is everything.

    Gary et al,
clam digging started yesterday and runs thru Sunday at Ocean Shores. Google and check the Washington razor clam site. Get your license, a clam tube and a bucket, pick them up, take'em home, clean them, don't overcook and love them.

Kayt added some loops to mine and they don't look sloppy.... So not that hard.

We use so many different kinds of suspensions for the hammock, the underquilt, the bug net and the tarp!

I am going to try and make it over there this week to treat the standing water to keep the bloodsuckers at a minimum.. has worked well for past couple seasons. Not this weekend but the next a couple of us may spend a night or two out there to do some winter growth cleanup and maybe expand the area a bit more again. If anyone is interested, they are free to come out and have a beer or kick it by the fire.

Its looking promising that me and the lady and even Randi might be able to make it out! Randi has a full setup, but my current lady has not seen the way and the light of the hammock. She has ground dwelling gear, but I worry about her backside. Anyone have a UQ they can spare for her?

Questions as I pull my camping gear out of storage:
    1. Is the site a full-on car-camping or should we be prepared to walk a little bit? I can guess, but I don't want to assume
    2. Should we bring camping meals or plan on driving to town for meals, or bring stuff for group meals?
    3. I have some spare hammocks I can bring, but I don't have a bugnet or an under insulation for my lady yet; anyone got spares?
    4. While I have spare hammocks, I don't have spare suspension, should I still bring them, or only bring more complete set-ups?
    5. What are the amenities available? are there toilets and running water or should I bring my dopp kit and make sure my filter is ready to go?

I have never been to a group hang and don't want to make assumptions only to learn my mistake when I'm 6 hours away from my gear deck?

Not a real hike by any means.. hundred yards or so down a small hill from the cars.

Meals.. bring what ever you like..... People tend to share and I am sure there will be plenty.

Im sure there will be some spare setups and quilts running around..

Probably easiest to just bring complete setups but bring what ever you want to use..

We usually pack in water, there are some bathroom options.

I treated most of the standing water I could find but some bug protection is never a bad idea

My lady has a Great Dane - mild temperament and well trained/behaved, but well... its a big dog! Any reason I ought not to bring her?

I'm new to this, and was looking for a chance to meet Pro's. If there is space I would love to come out and meet everyone, and get some tips on how to hang with style.

I'm in. I took Friday off and will arrive during the day. I can help with site setup and provisioning.

What, if any, cooking areas are there? I am primarily a backpacker but I can bring smores fixings if there is going to be a group fire and some yummy food if there will be a barbecue.
