Talking First pitch of the Superfly

I took my brand new Superfly to the local woods today to pitch it for the first time. What a nice tarp it is, and so spacious! About six months ago I sold both my BB and OES Deluxe and have since come to regret it. This tarp and a Roaming gnome will get me back in the game . Where I live I do most of my hiking in the forest, and it makes so much sense to hang than to lay on the ground.

Nice! Take a look at the no sew tarp mod. I thought it was worth it. Either way, you are set for a while.

I believe laxdad was referring to this post where they are using aluminum tent poles connected to the panel tie outs to spread the tarp. It is a nice tarp. I used mine for the 1st time last weekend.

Thanks, IŽll have to look into that mod, but I am not sure if I want to carry the extra weight at the moment . Tarp, tq, ug and hammock quickly add up.
