    Synthetic.

<<<<We've finally made our own Hammock Underblanket which is compact, lightweight, easy to set-up and suitable for use in temperatures down to -5C.>>>

That's 23 degrees F. I have AHE's New River UQ and it fluffs up a LOT more than DD UB.

In one of the videos, the presenter (in UK) said it had been quite chilly (don't remember if temps were given) and he was comfy.

"Quite chilly" describes the temperature when my wife puts on jackets and a fleece blanket around the campfire and I'm in shorts and a t-shirt

Yeah, quite chilly in the UK is a strange thing. Temps only play part of it. I have been warm (while inactive) in a tshirt at 40°f and freezing with a rain jacket and fleece (no rain) at the same temp. Our day to day weather (humidity, wind, rain and temp) changes so much... I reckon my snugpack uq (which I'm guessing is very similar insulation wise) would probably be warm for most to just above freezing. I am a warm sleeper and was and was warm at tamps around freezing and cool but able to sleep at 23°F, I wouldn't want to try it much colder. Saying that I think that dd probably rate it for use with their bag, the synthetic insulation underneath, while compressed will probably still add a few °.

I plan on ordering the underquilt today. I'm cold natured, so I'm hoping that it combined with a HG 0 degree over quilt will keep me warm regardless of the temps, within reason of course.

Let us know how it works out for you. If it's anything like their Bergen pack the quality will be top notch.
