Down sleeping bag as an underquilt no sew question

Hi all I have a sea to summit trek 3 rectangular sleeping bag that unzips to a down comforter. Can I attach it to my hammock with binder clips? Would an undercover work?
I want to use it as an underquilt but still have the option of it as a sleeping bag.

I sure hope so because that's my current plan too! Maybe something over mine to repel water bounce up from rain, but basically, before I invest in an underquilt, I intend on experimenting with my down rectangular zip open bag clipped on to my Clark.

The only problem is going to be the natural give and take of the hammock will pop the binders off, or worse case, leave open dead spots in your underquilt coverage. You might try to add adhesive fabric loops to the outside of the bag, and then fit a length of shock -cord to each side. I wouldn't use less than 3 loops per side, one in each corner mandatory.
