So... I wanted to try a longer hammock, and the fabric store had a 50% off sale.
So I bought 4 yards of 60" ripstop, rolled the edges, and put 3" channels on the ends, and hung.
The hammock feels.. weird. My comparision hammock is a hammock bliss no-see-um which is just shy of 10' and I think is pretty comfortable, and I built this one mostly so I could have a hammock without a net. This one works out to 12' cuz they gave me a little extra.
I sewed the ends square... I'm wondering if I was supposed to radius the ends to make the edges shorter? With the square ends.. the edges feel floppy. It feels like.. my head and feet don't get support when I'm diagonal.
Did I do something wrong, or is that what happens when you go longer?
