I finally got around to finishing the Thru-Hiker 5.0 oz Quilt kit I had brought in from the States. I used the DIY Gear Supply Pattern as a base, except that I didn't taper the foot box as I have big feet. I used super small snaps for the footbox with a 2mm accessory cord drawstring, hope the snaps hold.
From what I've read, being a warm sleeper, this might get me down to Freezing. I'm heading up to the Himalayas in June where we are looking at 32* to 20* Lows at night so I'm hoping this will swing it with some extra clothes if need be. Above the tree-line for the trip and then this bad boy is going to go into early retirement until I get back to the states. The low temperature where I live was MAYBE in the upper 50s for the whole year last year.

I couldn't find finer needles so sewing the thin Momentum was a bit tricky as the thread wouldn't loop under the faceplate. I had to always sew through newspaper or ribbon as the fabric and insulation wouldn't work by itself. I thought it was much more difficult than the sil I used for the tarp. Glad it's done. Tarp is complete, TQ is Complete, now I've just got a fleece jacket, bivvy, and momentum vest to get done by Mid June!
