    Redoing a DIY tarp-Advice needed

I have a DIY sil tarp I did a year or so back, and I want to trim it down in size a little. Currently it has a 12' ridge, and is approx 10' wide at the corners. I have never been super happy with my corners and ridge line reinforcements, and I would like it to be a little smaller. So, I thought I would trim the ends just enough to remove the ridge ends and corners, then redo them...but, it looks like that might bring it down to about 10'4" on the ridge. Is that going to be too short for my WBBB? All the tarps I see are 11', but seems a 10'4" should cover the blackbird enough for a warm weather tarp. Thoughts on this? Is 10'4" cutting it too close for coverage.

Below is a pic in its current condition.

That tarp looks fine to me, actually. A few wrinkles aren't a big deal, in my book. And, in a blowing rainstorm, I'd welcome every little bit of extra coverage I could get.

Silnylon seconds are pretty cheap. If I were in your shoes, I'd build a new tarp using the experience I gained building this one. Then if I decided I didn't want the 'old' tarp any more, I'd sell it.

But, it is just fabric, so you can make it smaller (easily) or even bigger if you want!.

Hopefully you'll get some advice from WBBB (?) owners on the minimum tarp size.

10'4" is how long my MacCat Standard is. I've hung this tarp over my 11' gathered end as well as my WBBB with no issues as a 'warm weather tarp'. Rain is another story but during the winter, I have hung successfully.

Well, I made the mods, tarp is 10'4"x7'6", so we will see how it does. I have two other tarps, so this is an experiment so to speak. I did the tie outs a little different so I can see how it does.
