For now I don't carry a partial length pad with me. Is there anything you carry that you also use under your legs.

Sure. Almost anything would work; even ones empty backpack. However, I would really suggest carrying a small piece of ccf. Not only for under ones feet in the hammock, but as a sit pad, fire fan, etc... Once you have it, it is difficult to imagine life in the woods without it.
I made myself a combo sit pad/foot insulator out of Ccf and a wallyworld windshield reflector. It's about 20 by 16, duct taped on the sides and fits easily in my pack. Oh, and it was cheap too. Made a bunch of pot copies out of the extras.
I like to use a "waffle" pattern foam pad. With my socks on, it can be hard to tell the difference between a smooth pad and the stretched tight nylon of the hammock. The waffles have just enough of a tactile surface that I know when I'm on the pad.

sort of depends on your top insulation also. I have a 3/4 UQ and a TQ that is like a mummy up to my calfs. Works fine for 3 season.
But a CCF, or like a air "sit pad" works well.

I use my puffer jacket. That way I know where it is, can find it w/o any fumbling in the dark, and when I put it on it's already warm and toasty. Even if I used full length UQ's I'd still keep it there.

I use my jacket also, works well for feet
I used a thermarest sits pad for the first time last night and it worked great inside my TQ. It was much easier to use than the piece of ccf foam I'd used before. I got the idea from a Shug video and I bought it with some other household purchases on Amazon prime so it blended into the household budget and slipped in unnoticed!
Just got this, .5 ozs.. I've also used thin CCF pad pieces from Lawson. I like the feel the partially inflated sit pad gives my pack as I store it in the hydration sleeve.

What I may buy if the dutch sit pad is not enough 2 ozs.
