    stellar tarps

I have yet to try my new Maccat Deluxe - have been saving it for Scout camp. I have, however been using a Campmor type tarp - 12 x 12 and am most happy with the extra space over my HH. Learned a lot last week, including finding an old pad the best for me, and that a comforter beats a bag.

I've only had tarps made by two other manufacturers, but after buying the MacCat Deluxe I sold the others off and bought an 8x10 for winter use. I see no reason to buy from anyone else. Great workmanship Brian.

    Another happy camper!!

I just received my MacCat Deluxe SpinnUL yesterday, and I'm impressed with the product! Brian, you do good work. I'm looking forward to using the tarp under "real world" conditions (unfortunately a couple of weeks away) with my similarly new WB Blackbird.

I'm impressed with the quality of work and the responsiveness of both Brian and Brandon to all the buyer-type questions.

    Pictures!

Sharing the wealth. And thank you, Brian!

Ok, so I know that you guys know what a Blackbird with MacCat Deluxe looks like. But you haven't seen mine yet!! Set up was a breeze, comfort was enough to make me want to turn my dayhike into an overnight (but that wasn't practical this time around). I can also report that my large NeoAir fits quite well, but is overly warm for mid-summer temps. Brandon and Brian each did a great job. I'm liking the mirror image build on the hammock a lot!

Here are a couple of pics.

I was a bit jealous this weekend watching Sho-Me use a brand new McCat Ultra---what a piece of kit! Though I shouldn't be jealous (I bought it) because I was under a tried and true McCat Deluxe...so I got to compare/contrast the two. Didn't take long to realize the McCat standard I've had for years is destined for the gear pile. The Ultra in SpinUL is truly a beautiful tarp and it's larger and lighter than my Deluxe. The only penalty is a bit more guyline to deal with since the Ultra has 3 guyouts per side. We walked sidehill for a long time past the dark/dank/stanky shelter, looked up and beyond a hill that has suffered fire damage within the last year (read understory of brush gone) and soon found our stealth site up and over the hill. Even though Sho-Me got to use the sweetest taup I let her hang via the Garda hitch just in case
    Thanks again Brian!

I made a DIY tarp for myself, but I bought the wife a 10'x12' cat cut tarp from OES. Superb work, awesome craftmanship. When comparing the two side by side, I almost felt ashamed of myself. I'm seriously considering a SpinnUL MacCat, but I have yet to pull the trigger.

I'm glad to see ya'all getting your tarps, that means Brian has more time to work on mine. I keep thinking it will show up any day now. Who knows, maybe today will be the day!
