I wish them luck. I do wish that mail order companies would prominently display traditional business contact information on their websites.

Well, the cat's out of the bag! Guess I couldn't have asked for a better way to start. Thanks for the great review gplg!

Don't rob a bank miyanc, it would make it hard to concentrate when I make your quilt, my conscious would definitely outweigh the ARGON.

He makes a statement about customer service, and uses a supplier that seems to use humane, sustainable practices to harvest down. Will keep in mind in case my upcoming dyi tq doesn't work out.
Thanks for the kind words Gravity. I definitely plan to keep the bar as high as I can regarding quality of both the finished products and materials sourced.

Thanks Tuckahoe, your well-wishes are appreciated. I understand the wish for more information and in some respects totally agree. If you were to submit a message to me in the contact form of my site, I would reply with my phone number and of course you would have my email address. My full address is on the electronic receipts generated from both paypal and the website as well. I know this exactly the opposite of prominently displayed. Since my shop is the basement of my house, where I live with my family, I feel it is in our best interest to limit how easily accessible all of our information is. I understand this may be a turn off for some folks, but it is a risk I am forced to take since this is the only way I can run the business at this time. I promise if everyone buys lots of quilts and we get a shop location, I will display everything you could ever want!

How do you like the omni tape to close the footbox? I made a top quilt and used omni for the closure and found even when I took real care to match the tape up perfect I still had it try to attach to my merino base bottoms. I'm interested how a professional grade quilt compares? Very nice quilt!

I just ordered the 50* Wright (no taper, extra 2 oz. of down, orange outer shell and charcoal inner shell) from Jared at Mid-Atlantic Mountain Works over the weekend, though I had exchanged a bunch of emails with him first. He was and is very responsive. The prices are comparable to the other vendors.

No issues snagging so far. I also use merino bottoms. It lines up well. I'll try to get a pic of the inside.

I'm hoping gplg is out using his MARCY 20!

In any case, I just finished up a quilt for a customer and took a few pictures. There is a picture on the website under WRIGHT 50 that has zoom capabilities if the attached one doesn't.

    Hope it helps a little!
