I had some of that stuff do a catastrophic failure which landed me on the center 4x4 bottom of my hammock stand. I don't think it was Wrights but the truck tie downs are without doubt a better choice. The fabric department webbing was Olefin or some such synthetic compound. I took a chance on it cause it was cheap. I learned my lesson. For now it's strapworks (or some other well known outdoor vendor) for me. I just don't want to mess with the tie downs although I have done so in the past and they work well.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

It gets worse. I made him a custom stuff sack tonight, and he was over at my house learning how to make a ridgeline and bug net.

After a while, you stop needing to put the tourniquet on your arm--you just start thinking about the hammocks and the veins stand up on their own. Hit me again, baby!

And yeah, Doctari, I started singing it at him as soon as he discovered that it was good to be off the ground. I feel that it's an important part of the Hammock Conversion Kit.

Ok a few pictures of the set up...

The view from under the bug net:

My hammock has since been made lighter, so it is now a matter of mother nature dictating when I take it in to the high peaks.

Not sure where those views were taken, but for some reason I like them a lot. Simple, yet open and VERY pleasant.
Hmm.. Tarp looks something like my steel gray wallyworld special.

The middle of a very large lake here in beautiful NY. It was midweek and early enough in the season that the cityfolk hadn't made it up there with there 28' speedboats. It was wonderful!!
