Hennessy is asymmetrical. Feet go in last so they are closer to the exit. This eliminates shifting around to the other way for me, provided I always sleep head on the same end. Different colored whoopies makes it easy.

I had to figure this out for myself today. Ordered a Freebird from Dream Hammock and needed to specify. Never thought about it before, but I'm a left lay. It just "feels" right (uh, I mean, correct ).
I lay to whichever direction has the better view! Using an asym tarp forces me to think ahead a bit, makes for a good "break time" built in after a hike. Ponder life's great mysteries and do visual math.

I sleep head right, feet left. Same way I sleep in my bed at home. I'm on the right side of the bed, the wife on the left. I don't know if I have done it the other way. I don't think it's a conscious decision, but when I look back, I almost always have slept that way in my hammock.

I sleep on my right side a lot. Using a lefty hammock does several things. While side sleeping I figure my bent knees have more room not pushing into the side wall, but more in the middle. My head turns slightly up with the curvature of the right wall. Also being right handed in a BB allows me to reach over my body into the shelf on my left. I can't remember if my first hammock which was a Hennessey was a left lay. Could be why it seems normal. I don't know. Either way I just purchased a Thunderbird here on HF which is a righty. Guess I will see if it makes that much of a difference.
I slept head right, until I got my BB. Now I sleep head left, and made the change no problem.
"Head right feet left. Can do the reverse but head right feels right. Thats a lot of rights. I am ambidextrous but predominately right handed if that makes any difference. I kinda feel like i am leaning to the left when i do the head left feet right."
I would give my left arm to be ambidextrous....

I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.
When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

Head right, feet left.
Still put my pants on one leg at a time...even though you can put them on both legs at once from a hammock.
Head right feet left for me. Idk I don't think I've ever tried the other way.. hmmm... have to give it a try.
I have tried both ways, and for whatever reason, I sleep with my head left and feet right. I'm left-handed if that means anything. I'm apparently in the minority for my sleeping direction based on the responses to this thread.
Head right, feet left. I suspect most right handed do as well, habituated to using extended stronger right arm for entry/exit/initial positioning support.
