    Hanging High

So this has been confusing me for a while - how do people get their suspension up so high? I'm short, so that may be a factor, but you can't possibly say that there isn't a work around?

And the stacked hangs are incomprehensible - do people just build giant human pyramids or towers every time they forget to bring enough tarps? Do they bring a ladder?

    So far my options are:
    • Piling logs up near the trunk
    • Hanging over a valley
    • Bringing Tree Climbing equipment
    • Bringing a Jetpack
    • Training a squirrel to put up your suspension
    • Get some magical breed of dog, or goat

Probably just for a fun day hang? Unlikely they're all camping under a single tarp like that lol. No clue how they do it but you could probably get risky and tension the first hammock tight and step on the suspension real close to the tree and keep chaining more hammocks up one at a time that way.

    Titanium Jetpack would be cool.

I'm not even planning on stacking - I'm just having difficulty keeping my bum off the ground.

"[*]Training a squirrel to put up your suspension" <-- If I don't bring my climbing gear this is usually the technique I use. As long as you are a little nutty they will enjoy being your friend.

...If you aren't nutty enough you could try the following technique:

I try to choose trees that are fairly close together so I can get my straps high enough.
A 12ft span puts my tree straps right around "eyeball high".

I use one of my hiking poles as an 'arm extender' to move my tree straps further up the tree than I can reach.

Having been a 'shortstuff' and independant all my life, I've become quite inventive at getting things done somehow, someway.

I found the old vid and uploaded to my initial post. Hopefully that will help get your butt off the ground! ... BTW, the picture of those goats is just unthinkable. They are doing that with HOOVES! Unless of course they are some weird mutant breed of goats that has hands on there feet. That is easier for me to believe than them climbing with FREAKING HOOVES!

I've been tempted to do that several times but always restrain myself when I remember that I don't know if I'll be able to retrieve it. Do you ever have any difficulty?

Clearly I haven't spent enough time on your youtube channel... I'll be back in a few hours.
