Thanks for a great hike. I really enjoyed everyone's company. I'll post up a few pics after I pull them of my camera.

    • There's a very thin line between a little bit crazy and a whole lot stupid.
    • If you're lost, just go faster. You'll be lost for less time.

Nice weather, good hike, great people

Well it was a great hike; I hadn't been out in the woods in a long time and really needed some backwoods therapy! Met "triforresttri", who really needs a proper trail name and Vicky, Skygzr's better half. Two great folks that made the hike what it was.

There were two other forum members but they were always ahead of our group so I was sorry not to meet them. Skygzr and his wife are preparing for a 14 day trek across Scotland so they were using the cuben fiber tent to practice. Saturday, our group hiked 15 miles, my single longest day ever. It was fun although a bit grueling on my feet. Had new Sportivia's that I'd only worn once before. Learned the value of having Gorrilla tape on my poles (Thank you Disco) and mole skin (Thanks again Disco!).

It's always good when I get to hike with these people. Finally, if anyone can identify the one odd plant/flower below, I'd be curious. It was a short woody branch coming out of the ground with this odd flower thing on top....strange!

    Nice photos, guys!
I had a great time hiking and hanging with everyone. It had been a while since I put down some serious miles, so my feet were pretty sore by Sunday, but I still enjoyed every minute. Couldn't ask for better weather or better hiking partners. I do wish the flies weren't so bad, though.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next MOHANG!
With beauty all around you, may you walk.
