but I ought to be able to put this information in the notes section of the video's page.

There are now ways of changing a sound track I believe, but I don't think the video itself can be changed. That would require removing the one and reposting the replacement in which case you would remove the original stats which have accumulated. Not a big deal for _me_ since stats and I have no mutual assistence understanding whatsoever. But I can imagine for a quant the compromise could be quite devastating.

In all serious tho, it would be a shame to lose what you already have accumulated. The idea of posting them in your notes on line is a much better solution anyway imo as it allows that information to be accessed without having to watch the vid to the end.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

You must have spent a lot of time,
    thinking things through before filming.

    Thanx Grizz.

I agree with the above post. This video is a MUST see by new and seasoned hammockers alike. All of the knots were so clearly described and executed. Showing then in actual use really "ties" everything together. Thanks Grizz. I use that Marlin spike hitch all the time for stakes...never thought about using it on the webbing....brilliant.

I am bringing these videos with my on the Northern hang to practice. So, it looks like you will be going after all!

Grizz, many thanks to the 10th power!

So many times I see photos in posts of great looking suspension systems, but I often wonder how it got that way, lol.

The videos really help to fill in the blanks!

I really appreciate all you must have put into these.

Great series of videos Grizz. I think I learned more in the short time of watching your vids than the last month of reading combined. Thanks for putting all of this together for all of us to enjoy and learn from.

Grizz, I went back and watched the videos again and am very interested in giving the marlin spike hitch method a go. What kind of cord are you using for that? I can't tell for sure, but it looks to be Amsteel or some other variant. Can you advise? Thanks!

Edit: I watched Part II a little closer, must have been doing something when you talked about the cord you used. Sorry 'bout that!

Great videos, I had a hard time trying to figure out the different types of suspensions available on the different hammock designs when I was first searching for a hammock. Your videos show how easy it can be to try something different from what you started with should one have the urge to try something new.

    Being a knot guy - I particularly liked part 2.1 and 2.2 .

The Garda Hitch was new to me. ( also called an Alpine Clutch on the web site shown in the video ) .

The Marlin Spike hitch I use quit often - I usually hang my pack off the ground using a loop of line and a found stick. Never thought of it as a means to making a quickly adjustable suspension.

Its nice too that you discuss the different types of line.

These vids are fantastic. I can't thank you enough for them. You clearly have done your homework and presented the info in a way that truly explains the different techniques. Coincidentally, I have been trying to find a more lightweight suspension system and have had difficulty trying to visualize the many techniques out there. Your vids have helped tremendously. Thanks again. Your videos are a true asset to the forum.
