We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..
Nice DIY skills! Looks great!

IMO.... As long as the tarp hangs down sufficiently enough from bottom of the hammock/UQ, then you shouldn't need a 'drip edge'?Nice.
My only concern would be the rain running down and wicking thru the net onto the UQ.?? your a pad guy so it may not be an issue.
If it is an issue, a flap of fabric may act as a drip edge around the seam/hem?
Am I right??
Test it and see.
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be. Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
I like both ideas: the 3 pt bridge as well as the sock/net.
would some sort of drip rings at an appropriate point be beneficial?
Good job!

Yes definitely, if you have any good ideas let me hear them! The problem is I don't want to cut my webbing so I was thinking of getting an open aluminum ring, passing a bite of webbing through, then clipping a biner through the bite of rope. This would create massive amounts of pressure on a single point of webbing where, in theory, it would drip down the carabineer. But I don't know if that will work?
This does look like a good idea. Any update on how it actually performs?
