    New River 4 season UQ

Finally worked up the courage this past Sunday (2/23) to hit the 'Checkout' button on a New River full-length, with the 4-season upgrade. Now comes the really hard part --- waiting til it arrives!

From the other posts on here, it looks like about a 2 week turnaround time. Hoping it'll make it to my door by the middle of March, so I can take it out on a trip that's already been planned...though if it doesn't, well, that's why I held onto my pad.

You're gonna love the warmth of the New River. I have the regular 3 season and have been warm in the 20's. The 4 season up grade is going to be toasty.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Ditto. My 3 season with apex has gotten me down to the mid teens so that 4 season will be amazing. Make sure to post some action shots!

Arrowhead makes the best synthetic quilts in the world, IMHO. You wont regret it!

I purchased a New River about 4 months ago. I haven't had an opportunity to use it outdoors yet. But, I'm an indoor hanger and use it every night. Nice quilt, plenty long and easy to adjust. I think you're gonna enjoy your new quilt.

I ordered a Jarbridge 4 season recently and look forward to receiving it. Paul should be happy with me because I ordered a Toxaway too plus some other stuff as well.

I have been quite happy with my 3 season Oywhee TQ but I do sleep pretty cold so I decided to go 4 season with the Jarbridge.

Synthetic does not pack down as well as, well, down, but I mostly motorcycle camp so it's okay.

I can tell you "now" from experience that you are going to be happy with the UQ. My son has the new 3 season which is good down to 25* with the Apex. We hit the upper 20's and he was warm. Actually he was cold in other areas like "lack of top quilt" and only sleeping bag but his underquilt was warm. We tested it out and are quite happy. If you purchased the 4 season that comes with a second layer of Apex I trust 100% after our experience this past weekend in the cold that you will be good to go. How low teens, single digits, etc, you can go is up to you. You'll have to test yours out and share the results. Let me confirm that the craftsmanship is good. My son like his so much that he used it last night as a quilt for his bed. He said that he got so hot that he started to sweat. lol

So, it's arrived, and it's definitely some excellent craftsmanship. I haven't had a chance to give it a serious (overnight) test hang yet thanks to work, but I have given it a quick test in the backyard on the steel hammock stand (all the trees behind me were cut down by the land owners ) and that thing is seriously warm...like near-instant flop sweat kind of warm. If I had to guess, I'd say it should take me down into the single digits with ease, probably into some sub-zero temps (if we ever get those again). I've got a trip coming up this weekend, definitely 2 nights possibly 3, so I'll get some good action shots and post them up. Thanks Paul for making such an awesome product!!!
