i had an idea pop into my head, what if there was a lower spreader bar on the same plane as where you lay in addition to the regular spreader bar. then you can connect in the middle of both sets of spreader bars with the suspension to aid stability.
just a thought
That has to be one of the coolest things I have seen.
Fry: "I can't swallow that!"
Farnsworth: "Well then, good news! It's a suppository."
Eagerly awaiting the hug resolution for the wife and I. If you want two opinionated reviewers we are your couple. Even willing t to pay shipping to and from for the chance to check out out. you can even have as kids our two as collateral.
Thanks all of you for the comments. I hadn't noticed that this thread had been revived.
Update: The (IX) insulation and everything to do with pad sleeves have been removed. Adjustments were made to the head end two suspension points. The attempt is to get more lift in the head end center divider rope without having to crank up as much tension. This is one of the biggest challenges to get right- in a convenient and repeatable way. Perhaps crow was anticipating this dilemma when offering the lower spreader pole idea. The head end suspension is is ready for additional testing, but I know it is still lacking somehow.
I have bought two sets of Madera legs, this should help me with testing the double hammock in car camping situations.
Not surprised. This is so impressive. Thanks for posting all the info to help others.
