    DIY accomplished.

With the help of my wife we made a nice 11.5 ft hammock. I had picked up some ripstop nylon and we had at it. Hemming it almost looped my brain. Had to tell the kids to go read a book. I hemmed , ironed and pinned it. I realize that's all part of hemming. My wife injected the thread.

Instead of whipping it I double rolled the ends and triple stitched it. Used amsteel through the end hems and connected welded d rings.

The thread for the end triple hems is super strong stuff I had left over for stitching insulated construction tarp.

I don't know the weight of the fabric but it's heavier than my eno and no stretch. Took the eno down and put this one up. Wow! Comfy, flat lie. Totally flat! It's a purple eggplant color.

    Very happy with it!

In appreciation to my wife I didn't sleep in the hammock last night. Kept her company instead tonight though....

Lol. Yah I built that for the kids years ago and it makes hooking up the hammock super easy.
