Me too. My previous trip was down to 7° and rising thru the night. But this was in the single digits most of the night, and possibly even lower than 3° since I only checked it at 12:02am. And I even forgot to bring my UQP!! 0° Incubators must REALLY be amazing.

That wind was brutal near the lake. There's almost always a breeze but I bet this was a good 30mph sustained. It's amazing to see the lake frozen out that far...beyond the horizon.

I usually hike around and camp in a new spot each night, but this time I just stayed put and did small day hikes. I chose a nice area in the pines tucked away from the wind. That is one of my favorite places to be - hearing the wind but never really feeling more than a slightest breeze now and then.

Just an update on conditions up here. We have had a few days of melt and a day of rain, and presently it is snowing. Look for trail conditons to be way different since mark6 was there.

I think every single state, in fact...country in the world, claims the cliche phrase "if you don't like the weather in ___, wait 15 minutes". But I like my dad's saying better:

"If you don't like the weather in Michigan, f--- it"
