Out of curiosity, other than tradition, why isn't polyester used to make silpoly?

I've not bought into the camo craze. Maybe because I associate it with either military or hunters and I am neither. I do get out with the scouts a lot, having items match their colors appeal to me. Red, green, khaki, black. Also I like colors that are muted variations of brighter colors, like burnt orange, rust, burgandy. Recently UGQ added a new color palette like this.

It is. Hilleberg use it in some of their tents. It weighs about the same as 1.9 sil but is probably more durable than nylon based fabrics.

I seem to recall seeing on sale at Extremtextil.de

Don't think there is any reason other than tradition and what people are used to seeing. It can definitely be done.

How much more will the camo silnylon cost per yard? Will it have the same hydrostatic rating?

    +1 Rescue Colors

For hunters and others a nice hunter orange may save a life. I can only imagine a brown hammock swinging gently may look a lot like a deer in the morning. And keep Scouts running through camp from damaging my wonderful Snipe with their wayward larynx.

Haven't settled on a price yet, but it will be fair. The HH will be at or slightly above the 1100 mm of the solid color Sil.
