    does eno hammock stretch

I completed my first winter hang. Stayed warm and it got down to 5 degrees. When I woke up I was considerably lower almost on the ground. I used a eno hammock with eno straps. Never used it overnight. What could have caused this.

If you used the ENO Slap straps, they stretch badly. The ENO Atlas straps do not stretch.

Sure all nylon hammocks stretch. Thicker just stretch less.
Sounds like you got your stretch from the straps.

Right on, those straps stretch like crazy!! Many of the cottage vendors on this site sell nice tree straps that do not stretch

Like a rubber band, over and over and over again. Nylon straps like those will stretch and then shrink back ready to stretch again. Get some good quality Polyester straps and you will not have strap stretch any longer....though your hammock will still stretch slightly...many folks like that as it cradles you a little. The straps are what leave you dragging butt.

At least you got here. None of us start out with the perfect gear. Most of us are always tweaking the kit anyway.

When I was getting started I found out about Slap Straps on here too. But fortunatly I hadnt used them and sold them on EBay in less than 20 minutes for what I paid.I have good straps from Arrowhead Equipment now.

Dutch just had 9 miles of sweet new polyester webbing specially produced for his store, might want to check that out.
