Stuff sack size for my setup?

Every stuff sack I own came with the product it holds, so I'm not too up on the sizes.

I want to keep all of my hammock gear in one sack, and that is:

    ENO double - whoopie modded
Straps and Toggles (straps are DIY but are in the ENO bag)
    HH Hex tarp
    Ridgeline and Figure 9's

What size stuff sack do I need?

Stuff it all into a pillow case, compress it, then measure it.
A cloth measuring tape can make that job easier.

Good idea. How can I best convert that into liters since that seems to be the unit of measure for most of what I'm seeing online.

Edit: nevermind, I looked again and the dimensions are given in inches in the Specs section (I'm looking at REI at the moment).

Place the stuffed case into the shape of a cylinder, measure diameter and length. Online there are volume calculators for a cylinder, that will get you into the neighborhood.

And don't panic if the first one is off in size. Just keep track of the measurements you used and adjust. Don't forget to allow about 1/2 inch for the seams

If you do wind up looking somewhere that doesn't have the specs in inches, find the volume in cubic cm and then divide by 1,000 to find L. Also, Google is your friend. To convert pretty much anything to anything, type in:

    "convert A x to y",

where "A" is a measurement in "x" units and you want to convert to "y" units.

Example: "convert 30 L to cubic inches" gives you 1830.71 cubic inches as the output. Works for temps, volume, distances, weights, etc., etc., etc.

    Hope it helps!

Find a round tupperware container or a pitcher that it will fit in. Stuff and stuff. Mark how full it is. Fill with water to that level and measure in liters. I used a 1 gallon pitcher we make tea in. It also has liter markings. Very easy. You may need a bigger container than I used.

Also consider you might not want to pack up a wet tarp with your dry hammock.
