Hammeck - Logo - Would appreciate feedback!

I've been messing around with coming up with a logo, and I think I have what I want. I was hoping to get some feedback, what do you all think? Thanks!

    Very nice and memorable.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I like it too. Not sure the color scheme is working for me though.

The color gradation in the background will end up adding cost to printing materials for all your logos. From a visual standpoint I like it. I do suggest for cost reasons that you go with a standard 2 or 4 color logo though. Hope that helps! Good luck!

I really like the logo but I have to ask...You are the 3rd or 4th company I've seen misspell hammock for a name is that really a good way to go?

    IMHO it's kind of gimicky.

In my opinion the success of a logo can only be judged if we know the audience you're trying to market to. A blanket statement like "I market to everyone that likes hammocks" is a pretty poor one. So for better feedback it would be nice to know at least who you are trying to reach. With that said, I agree about the color/gradient adding cost to printing in some cases, but likely not anything that you'll be applying it to. With that said, you should likely have a black and white version.

You only asked about your logo so I'll limit my response to that. (but yeah... always be refining your business plan) Basically, I like it. But I have some concerns.

Personally: As a rule, I don't patronize companies that misspell common words just to get attention. For example, I don't buy Lite beer. That is, unless I'm desperate and it's the only thing on sale. But I digress.

I like the color gradation but your color selection is very predictable. Maybe try something with earthtones and add a neon version of its compliment. Toy around with some colors, have fun.
And yes, plan on some monotones too.

I love the subliminal smile of the hammock! Very powerful.

I also like the tree canopy device. On my initial look I saw them as very feminine eyes above the coy little smile (the hammock).

Having said that, are you selling hammocks or trees? If it's hammocks, the hammock should be bigger, more prominent.

All in all, I like it. I'd give it a 'B.' Fix the spelling and the boring colors and you're onto something here. Good luck.

Personally, I like the look of your website more than the new logo. I would stick with the font/design for "hammeck" that you are using on the site. Looks simple and clean. I like the misspelled name becasue it is personal (the Meck family).

If I remember reading somewhere the name is based on this real life name. If that was me I'd be rather partial to it. It's not just a different variation of hammock for the sake of being different.

That being said, I like the overall look. Just not sure about the gradient.
