Amsteel is pretty hard to get by to here in The Netherlands. I ordered some with some titanium goodness from Dutch the other day, but while it's still stuck in the USPS Chicago sorting facility, I've already thought up more projects that require more rope.
So on with the quest to find affordable Dyneema rope here in Europe, and I found German-made Liros D-Pro which has nice specs and I was able to find some for a nice price. But I kept wondering how it compares to ordering Amsteel from Dutch, so I created a spreadsheet to compare them.
Here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...1E&usp=sharing
Everyone with the link can edit and add their favorite rope to the sheet.
Prices are from a Dutch (as in: from the Netherlands) web shop, I think hangers in German-speaking countries should be able to find Liros D-Pro for comparable prices.
If I find the time:
- add Marlow rope for UK hangers
- add other European quality rope (suggestions anyone?)
- create a shipping calculator that calculates the break-even point where shipping from the US at better prices is actually cheaper if you want to wait for USPS.
