I have checked flights from Arlanda to Gällivare.
There is a plane from Arlanda the 5th at 09:15 arriving in Gällivare 11:55
From Gällivare the 8th at 16:00 arriving at Arlanda 18:30
Price (at the moment) 2733SEK (both ways)

About trains I don´t know how to search

Man, i wish i had a little closer to Gällivare but 900km is more than i have time to travel, but i hope you have a great time.

Is there firewood and fireplaces at the cabins?

There are 4 cabins along the trail. They are all unattended but open. They have woodstoves and plenty of firewood. They also have gas-stoves for cooking. It costs money to use the cabins (or sleep there) but you pay those money afterwards. It is very cheap.

One of the cabins has a freshwaterwell outside and the other ones have freshwatersprings a little bit away from the cabin.

All of them has outdoor-toilets.

Two of the cabins (Manson and Nammatesvare) are very small. Only one room with 3 beds and a table.

The other two cabins (Fallstugan and Muddusluobbal) are bigger. They have one big room with 6 beds and 2 tables plus one smaller room with 2 beds.

The cabin in Muddusluobbal is very new, only a couple of years old, since the last one was burnt down to the ground......(that was not me!)

In Muddusluobbal ther is a birdwatchertower. It is very high, far higher then the trees.

Nice, is the firewood free or is it only for cabin dwellers?
Allways good to know if the frying pan will be packed.

Heh, interesting things going on here. I will take part on European Cycle Messengers Championships on 3-6.july 2014 in Stockholm. Dates little bit off but I will pay close attention on this thread. I wanted to participate on the 2012 edition of S.K.A.H.O and things went wrong and I missed that. I'll see how my events calendar will developes closer to these dates. Heres a some chance for me.
