Maccat deluxe on a 11 footer....

11 ft hammock with adjustable srl.
    The tarp ridgeline is 10.8.
    To tight for noob?
    What are the concerns?

Do you have a structural ridgeline on your hammock? I have an 11' Thunderbird with a 110" ridgeline. It's a little tight but works.

Edit: sorry I missed the "srl" in your post.

The Maccat deluxe has one of the most extreme catcuts I have ever seen.
Back in the day, before cuben, it was the only way to cut weigh.

I do own one and use it with a 2QZQ grizzbeak but not during the windy/rainy season.
It offer very little side coverage at the ends.

Thats exactly how I was going to do it
but in your pics it's pretty darn close.
And with the grizzbeaks it's well over the 19 oz of the super fly.
It's a really nice tarp but...
I'm trying to get one do it all for the near future so I don't think this is the way I'm going.....

    Thanks OutandBack.

Wow I never weighed them. Good to know and here I thought I was saving weight.
The Superfly is the most copied tarp design out there.
Now I think I know why.

    Yup....
Maccat deluxe is 13.1 w/seam sealing
Grizz beaks are 6oz per pair ....so 12oz for my application.
So that 25.1 oz all together.
As opposed to 19oz to the super fly (pull outs need slight sealing.)
    Not a huge diff....
But I'm a gram weenie in training....

Have a Mac Del and a Superfly on an 11' hammock. If you want just one tarp get the SF. I love them both.
