    affordable tarp

I'm just getting my first set up going. I've got an eno double, and living in the pacific NW, I need a tarp to keep the rain off. Please let me know if you have an extra that you'd part with.
    Thanks!
    Ben

I am short on tarps myself, but just figured I would chime in. You might want to include some more information. Do you need doors, are you a gram weenie or ultra light person? are you ok with DIY? I have seen trades in the trade section where you buy double the silnylon needed and ship it to someone and they make you a tarp and keep the extra sil. ( I think it was MrPrez that did it for someone using diygear's template). You can buy sil 2nds for 3.75 a yard. So that roughly 16-20 yards, say 18 yards for $67 plus shipping for a tarp with 12' rl and doors side ties outs, all you would need is to put guy lines and rl in. Not sure if this helps.

Shoot an email over to Lost_biker at underquilts.com and give him the size tarp you are looking for and see what he can do forr you, it does not say it on his website but he makes custom size tarps at a very reasonable price, check out the tarp he made for me

    Thank you both.
I'm looking for some thing on the larger side- say 12'.
I live in the Pacific NW, where there is buckets of rain...
    Thanks again,

I don't know how much shipping is but a 12'x9'6" Chinook tarp is pretty inexpensive. You can do some Googling to find the best price/shipping. I have one and it is a very big tarp that will give you plenty of cover.

This one is $36.15 but I don't know what the shipping is.

There are some other inexpensive tarps out there if you dig around a bit. The main issue with the cheaper ones is they aren't as light or compact.

I'd do another trade like I did before. Buy 16 yards, send it to me. I keep 8 and send you the tarp of your choice.

That is a heck of a deal!

I started with an Equinox 10X12 PU coated nylon tarp from campmor. It was around $40 in 2010 they are $59.99 now. http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___22218

This seems like a really good deal but the link doesn't provide much information. Has anyone used this tarp?
