Best way to store a Cuben Fiber tarp while backpacking

    Hi all,

I just received my Cuben Fibre tarp (cammouflage with doors) from hammockgear.com. Awesome part of equipment I have to say.

But I am wondering what is the best way to store this while traveling? With my old Warbonnet Silnylon Cloudburts I used a snakeskin (Netted Tarp Tubes from ukhammocks.com). But with the stiffer and not so slippery Cuben Fibre it doesn't work as well. So I am thinking of just folding it instead of using a snake skin.

What do you normally do? Looking forward to your best practice suggestions.

    Cheers

I had mountaingoat make some mesh skins for mine. I have the hg 4season with doors and they work fine for me. When packing I roll the tarp over the ridge line and have not had a problem. Once in the skin I kinda roll/fold in 15" folds and stuff in an outer mesh pocket.

I have a cf python on mine. Roll the tarp up and slide the skin over. Works great.

I just roll it up, secure it with four pieces of velcro and put it in the stuff sack.
