I was hoping he would just charge us a flat rate for the group for the weekend,@ $10 plus per head per night, that could work out to be quite a bit of cash. As far as alternate sites go, I noticed Mt Monadnock is only about a half hour away, the campground there is pretty nice and they have a least one group site that I can think of. Not sure what time of year it opens, I've only been there in late summer and fall.

...Tell me no lies, make me a happy man ...
Kids free would be fantastic. I have my fingers crossed it works out that way.
Hey gang! I just bought my GF Amanda (AKA 'snotty tissue' or 'Bikergal' have'nt decided on trail name yet) a new Clark NX-250 camo! It will arrive sometime next week, I may not be able to get any more Amsteel blue at my local West Marine, cuz they were out last time. Gonna need a set of whoopies and ridgeline. Tree straps will come with hammock. I also have 1 aluminum 9 hook thingie for the ridgeline tensioner. So I may need to buy 40 feet of amsteel, and a couple of beads from somebody? Oh, and since we will be traveling on motorcycles, I won't have any splicing tools. Maybe some members could hook us up for a fee? If not, there is another West Marine further away I can check out. Thanks so much!
UPDATE:
After explaining our situation, and further negotiating with the owner, so far we have agreed upon a 'group rate' price, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY show up!
We would pay $200 per night for the entire group, $400 total for the weekend (Fri-Sat, leaving Sunday), and the reduced $10 per barrel price for firewood consumed. He will assign us Site 17 for the communal eating/Firepit area, and we can take other picnic tables over you our 'communal area. We
still can use the Rec Hall if we want in bad weather.
This equates, for 50 people (we have more signed-up at the moment) to $2.00 per night per person, down from the original $12. I could have pushed him a bit more, but I feel that is a reasonable price for a small family owned campground. He has been extremely accommodating so far.
Please let me know your thoughts on this new pricing structure!
