With my man cave looking like a fabric store (and I don't mind that at all), I have being eyeing the idea of making compression sacks for clothing or for emergency cold weather gear bag if the weather changes fast.
I have bought a few cheaper compression sacks that just tear on the first or second use. With ripstop nylon, webbing, buckles, etc and a TI sitting idle right now (the agony), I was wondering if anyone has made their own and can give me some insight, or articles and links for a product that turned out good. Best way to reinforce? Stitches used, or number stitches, seams (flat felled, etc) that can take the stress.
Side note - I want to thank the member who posted the instructions on the measured stuff sacks - that has been valuable. I changed out the bags for 12 DIY hammocks I have (4 are mine, the rest are for the scouts).
Thanks -
