I just picked up a Vertex this weekend and have the same question. I like the idea that I can get them both for about $300 shipped (the $40 off when you get two helps!) but if they aren't worth buying then that's still $300 out the window.

Frankly just bought it on Sunday, already set it up 3x in a local park and even had a Ranger curious enough to flop in it for a bit. Hew as worried about falling asleep and his supervisor catching him.

No one at all? I'm starting to think that no one has ever ordered the Z-liners.

I rather like the way they have the velcro running along the sides to help keep it lined up but not sure if that's actually a good feature or not. (Never used an UQ before)

I'm starting to think the same thing. If there isn't a review of any kind here, the might not be one anywhere :-(

I have yet to see a review. I'm frankly tempted to ask Clark if they ever even sold one but the obvious answer would be 'hundreds!' and yet, as you pointed out, zero reviews anywhere. Not even an online vid or anything.

We use a Vertex with the Z-liners.

As it is our car camping hammock, it is always in a bag in the car with the z-liners on it . Not very heavy but it takes some space.
We like the Z-liners for extended summer hanging. Last winter we put two AH jarbidge underquilts under it and that worked fine in the high 20s.

At near 6'6 and 230lb I'm at the upper limit of the comfort zone but it works and my wife likes the space in it.
    Hope that helps.

Mistral, you are the first I have come across over a few DAYS of trying to find reviews. Thanks for helping! I even wrote back and forth with Clark over it and they admitted the language in their page wasn't very clear (it mentioned pads more than anything else and they did clarify they were UQ's). If you were to compare them against something like an incubator what temp range would you suggest they are? That's one more spot where Clark seems to drop the ball. In some ways they make it seem like they are a 20 degree difference, and yet read it differently and it's claiming a 55 degree. Even their Customer Service person was a bit lost as to how to better describe it.

With most companies like HG you have 0 degree, 20, 40, etc. How does the Z-liner stack up?

If it is like the z-liner for the NX-250, I was not impressed. I would go with a nice cottage vendor UQ. The z-liner is not very warm, or rated for cold temps. Also bulkier than a nice down UQ.

I had a vertex and used HG 20* incubator and it worked great down to 25*.

With only the Z-liners I would go until about 50 degrees but I'm a bit of a cold sleeper.
