Great way to check for underquilt cold spots - FLIR

FLIR is going to release a thermal imaging device for the iPhone 5/5s.

Would be handy at a group hang, walk around and help folks dial in setups maybe?

    Check for drafts, cold spots.

Relative warmth in the hammock of pad vs underquilt.

All it takes is an iPhone and $370.

Note: I am not affilated with FLIR, I do some development for Apple Apps but am not employed or subcontracted to Apple

You can get a pretty good idea about cold spots by placing a light outside the hammock in the dark and look out from the inside while you're in it. If the light is shining in where your quilt should be making a shadow, there's a leak.

We use thermal imaging at work all the time, it's a great tool.

I wonder if a digital camera using a special filter to block all but IR and a white balance tweek would do this? Any camera pro's out there?
