    Backpacking the Ozarks, OHT Wintertime

IMG_0078.jpgThis is our New years hike in the Ozarks. This is the Ozark Highlands Trail ( Hurricane Creek Wilderness Area) and Richland Creek wilderness Area. Plenty of boulders and water. We had a nice 14 degree night to deal with while hanging. The OHT is 165 miles long of beautiful scenery and very few people! Enjoy

You're a kind person, you even let a tent in among you!

That's a beautiful area. I live in Missour so this isn't crazy far from me; what a great time you guys must have had. Are those your sons?

Great looking area.......love all the rocky overhangs, lots of nooks & cranny's to explore.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.
