Makes me remember the first time I did that. Good memory. I went full time, haven't looked back. Yes, the folks here on HF are the BOMB.
I haven't slept 12 hours in a row since my teens...
I had a similar light bulb moment my first night in my hammock. I tease my wife that I sleep better out in the woods than I get in her expensive bed.

Congrats man, Hammock sleeping is the way to go!
Interesting how many people who try it soon become full timers, or are looking for a way to hang a hammock at home. Hammocks have beds beat big time IMO, and at a fraction of the cost.
