LOL that is a fantastic pic!!! I love that idea actually. I'm wondering how I could implement that with 2 dogs. Maybe a stretcher set up with 2 long poles and spreader bars...
Thanks for the suggestion. That might just work.

The dog hammock pic is great! Love it
Oh my god, that is freaking adorable. My dog always wanted to be as close as possible to where I was sleeping, so this seems perfect. Can't wait til I can get another pup.
There is no try, only do.
Truly cool idea for the dog. If it was supported by 3ropes would the triangle shape be easier for him to get in to?
A dog bridge hammock might make it easier for him to hop into...Maybe I will make one for my dog...
I don't have an independent shelter for my larger dog but I have an over-sized double floor mat envelope that I made of tyvek which make a bed and insulates him from the ground. It has two sections. One is a single layer, the other is a sort of a sleeve closed with velcro. My larger dog carries this and reflectix in his pack. I slide the relectix in to the large envelope and it insulates him from the ground. I can also stuff it with clothes or a fleece blanket or even leaves. He seems very comfortable. He didnt like the sound of the rustling tyvek so I washed it a few times. Now it is quiet. The whole thing is under my hammock(which is where he wants to sleep anyway).
Limping back into the wilderness...
