Does anyone out there own a Vertex and what are your opinions of it? It's really expensive is the first thing i think of :-(

We just bought one recently, but the verdict is still out. Hubby loves it. I don't think it is anywhere near as comfortable as my Clark TX-250, but we are still in the stages of experimenting with hang variations to improve the comfort. I want to love it. I like being able to share the same space. So far it just hasn't proven itself to me in the comfort department. If I had never tried the blissful comfort of the 250, I would probably like the vertex more.
With a radical sense of hope, I strive for the seemingly impossible.

RadicalHope keep us posted but I have to agree I have been spoiled by my nx 250. I thought I might get a Vertex for my grand daughter to keep her closer but might just hang her right neck to me with a spacer bar between hammocks.
When I was a kid the only time we were in the house was to eat and sleep.

That's genius!!!!!!!! Spacer bar between the hammocks :-) I never thought about that! I imagine you could use a broomstick cut into two at the ends of the ridge lines.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need at least 3 trees still?

In the pic only two are used, spacer at each end. This innovation to allow two hammocks to share one tarp.

But I feel like one hammock would sink to the bottom if the other was unoccupied, or if one person was heavier than the other.
