75RR Thanks for the booklet!! Although you put it out there a bit under 2 years ago, I came across it and found my gold nugget!!
I am an Asst. Cubmaster in TX and Scouts have implemented a new program for cubbies. It seems that during the development of the new program BSA (among other things) surveyed older boy scouts and asked the "failings" (for lack of a better word) of the in coming boy scouts transitioning from cubbies.
"they just don't know stuff" was the consensus. So the program gears toward more outdoor skills and activities.
So, second year scouts (Wolves) are learning knots (albeit, two, but non the less). when asked what was the favorite part of our first scout meeting of the season, they all yelled, "Learning how to tie knots!!!, and we want to learn more!!!". I was in heaven. I will certainly use your booklet as a wonderful reference for my cubs.
sincere thanks
