    WBBB UQ suggestions

I am looking for a underquilt for me WBBB. I think that I want a full length, 3-4 season UQ that will work well with the WBBB design/foot box.

    Suggestions?

I have a 20 deg Incubator and a 40 deg Phoenix and both fit my WBBB great. Just get someone to lay in your hammock while you tweak suspension and you are good to go.

That's great..........but how does a newbie decipher all of the info to make an informed decision?

    Any particular brand/offering suggestions?

As far as under quilts go I can only speak about the full length HG 20*. It is a great quilt that has served me well. I also have a WBBB as my tarp as well. I have read many posts and it seems like all of the cottage vendors here make quilts that make people happy.

I am just down the road from you so if you wanted to check out the quilt we could meet up and you could see it if you like.

Take a look at the zeppelin from underground quilts and the incubator from hammock gear I believe. Seems like those two cottage vendors are the choices most people go with for the WBBB. I'm sure there are other options as well but those two really stood out when I was looking to buy.

The Zeppelin offerings are the ones that I am leaning towards. I am trying to understand what degree rating to go with.

My first thought is go for the gusto and get the zero degree, but I also don't want to sweat to death the other 3 seasons! I am waiting for their Black Friday sale and will probably try to score something!

    Deciphering is the tricky part.
You have to ask yourself many questions.

    1) What temp range will I be hangin in?
And before you ask there is no 1 quilt that works for all temp ranges.
    Typical ranges: 50F 40F 20F 0F

    UQ's
    2) 3/4 length with foam pad in foot of TQ or full length

    3) Down or synthetic

    4) How much do I want to spend

    TQ's
    Down or synthetic

Length and width based on your size and weight

    Hope that helps.

I have quilts from 3 of the HF vendors and I don't have a favorite they are all fantastic.
If you just want some names to start your search.
Jack or Better, Hammock Gear, Wilderness Logic, Underground Quilts, Warbonnet.
