The Gorge was in full Gorge Glory….stunning. We ramped up day by day.

My knee feels really healed. I do have a bone spur in my heel from doing so many shows this summer before my knee totally healed. It hurt at times but going uphill was pain-free.

Just beautiful. I really need to get down to the gorge someday. How many people did you run across while hiking - wondering how wilderness it is. Are there permits required?

We ran into two different groups during the week. One was a group of Outward Bound College kids. The other was the Southern Mafia from Florida. They all respected and commented on the roughness of the Gorge.
No permits needed after Oct. 31. You do need them for weekends the rest of the year unless you camp outside the wilderness area.
