Lightbulb Stealth Hammock Camping, How-To Stay Hidden on the Side of the Freeway

    www.trekkingbuddha.com
Episode two of my stealth camping series. This time I will be showing off how to utilize hills and harsh vegetation to stay hidden from the view of the road, and minimize the chances of someone finding you. Could be useful to anyone traveling long distance car camping, hitch hiking, or cycle touring. Sometimes you just need to find a place to stay, and fast!

Something like this actually crossed my mind recently. However, I was thinking more along the lines of sleeping in the hammock instead of the car. I'm just having a hard time coming up with ways to do this without the car attracting attention.

Nice job. I am constantly looking for places but don't do it very often. As long as some derelict does not have the same idea you are good to go. We have a place behind the local high school(lake front) but I only do it in the winter, when the partiers wont be out.

Very nice. Camping often becomes something that folks forget can and (as long as it doesn't impact others) should be more common in the areas that we "ignore". Another reason why I love hammocks.
