So I made last minute arrangements to fly up to NJ for a friend's wedding, and am thinking about hanging out the night afterwards, rather than paying for a hotel (last minute plane tickets already cost us a small fortune). Any suggestions for places to hang, preferably as close to Medford as possible?
You could get a camping permit($2) and stay at Goshen Pond site. Plenty of spots to hang.
You could always just go without the permit and if a ranger comes over just explain you went to the ranger station and it was closed.

click on Goshen Pond that's your closest state park. a lot of woods in Medford lakes area if you want to stealth. just watch out for the cherry tops.
