Monument Mountain, Great Barrington Mass

I spent a nice afternoon on a day hike up Monument Mountain outside of Great Barrington Mass.

The hike was enjoyable, the weather was pleasant, and the dogs were good company.

I set up my hammock just a little off of the trail near the summit for some relaxation. I enjoyed lunch from the hammock, a good book, and a great view. I did get plenty if funny looks as I relaxed as people went by. I can only assume they thought that I was camping up there.

Sorry, spur of the moment hike. Wife took my daughter to a Halloween event, so I ended up with some time for myself. I almost posted it, but I figured an hour heads-up was too short for most people.

Haven't been up there in quite a while now.......so, it looks like I'll have to get back there real soon after seeing the pics. A beauty place, for sure!

Thanks everyone. It is a very nice location, but it can be heavily trafficked especially on the weekends. I can't wait for winter to set in so I can have the place to myself.
