No worries at all. This was a shout to the UQP. I swear that thing adds 5º and keeps the heat you have from being blown away. We had very high winds on our Linville Gorge trip and this UQP certainly proved itself worthy of my pack load.

    Hi Shug,
In your video you show how the UQP can be tightened/lifted by adjusting the side shockcord locks for even more wind protection.

For those time when the wind is blowing the fluffy stuff all around under the tarp do you think a few nylon snaps strategy placed along the top edge from the foot end to about the chest might be beneficial in keeping the fluffy stuff off the TQ?

I don't mean to clutter up your most excellent How To post with a bunch of design ideas just wondering what you thought.
I was thinking of trying this and if it looks promissing I'd open a new post on the idea.

I think it may be too tight across the chest area and may compress the UQ. I'll double check that next time I rig it up.
Better to maybe drape something over the ridge line in that case. So far I have not had too much blowing snow in my rig on trips…maybe this year.

    I use Dutch quilt hangers - quick-set-up.
    Cuthalion,

Do you have any close pictures on how you attach the UQP with quilt hangers?

    Sincerely,
    Dave-O

    Dave-O,
I do have a couple pics of the Dutch UQ hangers, just not handy at the moment (at work)

There is a picture here: see tip #6.

I will try to post a picture when I get a chance.
Dutch has great videos that go with his products.
